Fair 2005 is just around the corner, for 2 days
on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st, at the Tokyo Big Sight
The Amateur Radio Festival ( Ham Fair ) which is said to be as grand as
"Hamvention" in the USA or "Ham Radio" in Germany,
will be held for 2 days at the Tokyo
Big Sight (Tokyo International Exhibition Center) located in Ariake,
Tokyo, from August 20 to 21, 2005.
This year, it receives support from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC)
as well as the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology
and many other organizationsin Japan. Preparations have shifted into high gear now. Please be there!!

Ham Fair will boast of a wide range of exhibits such as: all kinds
of high-tech exhibits of amateur radio equipment, the dealer and club flea
market, not-to-be missed lectures and forums, ...etc.
Most notably, a special commemorative station will be established. Also
JARL will hold "Home Brew Equipment Contest" and "Drawing
Contest" which best works will be awarded by the Minister of MIC!!
Additionnally, Mr. Carl Luetzelschwab, K9LA, of National Contest Journal (NCJ)
will travel to Japan to perform various services at the DXCC Corner.

Last year, Ham Fair attracted 27,000 visitors.
We hope for many more this year !!

From 10:00AM to 05:00PM
Doors will be open from 10 o'clock in the morning to 5 in the evening.
Admission is 1,500 yen (800 yen for high school students), good for 2 days.
Students up to junior-high school are free of charge.
Access to the site will be a twenty minute ride by the Yurikamome Line
(Tokyo Waterfront New Transit) which starts from Shimbashi JR Station and
travels through bay side areas.
