Silent Key King Hussein, JY1
It was with great sorrow that all of radio amateurs in Japan learned of the passing of His Majesty King Hussein. It is a well know fact that King Hussein was not only a great peace conciliator in the Middle East, but also was a world famous radio amateur known as JY1. His attitude with high spirits about amateur radio will long be remembered among all radio amateurs in the world. On behalf of all radio amateurs in Japan JARL extends most deepest condolences to the Jordanian Royal Family and to all the people of Jordan.
