Please be informed that acceptance of JARL 2000 Award application has completed in the end of May, 2001. We sincerely appreciate for sending us your applications for this special awards.


To commemorate "The Year 2000", JARL is going to issue the following special awards to licensed amateurs and SWL's in the world.

Japan Domestic-2000 Award For contacts with more than 2000 different* amateur stations in Japan.

Global-2000 Award
For contacts with more than 2000 differrent* amateur stations outside of his/her own country.

Japan Domestic Award
For acquiring more than 2000 prescribed points** by communication with amateur stations in Japan.

Global Award
For acquiring more than 2000 prescribed points*** by communication with amateur stations in the world.

Note(*) If you contacted the same station on diffrent bands, it would be considered that you contacted different stations.
(**)Point: (the total number of "City's", "Gun's", "Ku's" contacted in each band) X (the total number of "Prefectures", "Shicyo" contacted in each band)
(***)Point:(the total number of entities contacted in each band) X (the total number of WAZ zone contacted in each band)

Requirements (See the General Rule in addition to the followings.)

= A list of contacts (receiving QSL card is not necessary) furnished with the callsigns of stations worked (heard), dates, bands and modes of the contacts (receptions). Do not send QSL cards.
= Only contacts (receptions) made from January 1, 2000 to December 31, 2000 will be acceptable.
= JARL will start accepting application on April 1, 2000, and will close on May 31, 2001.
= Applicants can request for maximum three of the following four endorsements:
Bands, Modes, QRP, QRPp.
= The fee for the award: 8 IRC's.
